Surely we all agree that, in the baby's stage of life from one month to one year of age, the characteristics that we look for in a toy as responsible parents are:

• That it is colorful.

• It should not have sharp edges or spikes that could hurt the child.

• That it has pleasant sounds, not squeaks or whistles that scare the baby.

• It should meet all health standards mandated by law.

• It should be of an appropriate size so that the baby cannot swallow it.

• It must be resistant.

• It should be didactic, that is, it should teach the child skills.

• That it is reliable or that it has been on the market for many years without harming any baby.

• And that due to its success and mass production it has an accessible price.

• That its size is manageable and not too heavy for the baby.
